Long before they were known as the Forgotten Gods, the body of twelve deities knew the day would come when their voices would be silenced and the safeguards between good and evil fractured. To give mankind its sole chance to survive, warnings were hidden in prophecy to be passed down through the generations. But each generation fell further away from the prophecy, and the words that would provide salvation were lost amidst piles of useless scrolls and obscure texts. When the gods fall silent and darkness descends, precious time is lost in recovering the prophecy. Buried within are clues hinting that the savior of mankind is Indigo Frost, a young peasant girl easily distinguishable by her thick, true white hair.
As violent darkness spreads under the direction of a dark wizard, those who serve the light search frantically for Indigo Frost. She’s the Chosen One, the child marked for glory eons earlier by the Gods and marked for death by darkness for the very same reason. It’s a race to retrieve Indigo and return her to the Temple in order to prepare her to fulfill her destiny: in the face of overwhelming odds, lead the kingdom’s troops against demonic forces under the dark wizard’s command and save the human race from annihilation.
No one, including Indigo, is prepared for the fact that simply claiming her destiny is wrought with peril. Not only must Indigo make it to the Temple alive, but she must master the challenges prepared by the Gods and either learn to harness the powers within her or serve as a sacrifice to the Gods themselves. In the face of personal tragedy, Indigo must conquer her own inner demons before she can earn the respect of the seasoned warriors she must command.
